Cynthia L. Greene joined Young, Berman, Karpf & Gonzalez, P.A. on September 4, 2018 as an Of Counsel attorney. Ms. Greene previously founded and managed Cynthia L. Greene & Associates, P.A in Miami, Florida. Ms. Greene will continue to dedicate her practice to family law and represent clients throughout the state at both the trial and appellate levels in matters involving divorce, child custody and visitation, property division, spousal and child support, paternity, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and order modifications.
After graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Miami in 1975, Ms. Greene continued on to the University of Miami School of Law and received her Juris Doctor degree in 1979.
Ms. Greene is certified in marital and family law by the Board of Legal Specialization and Education of The Florida Bar, she is licensed to practice in Florida and before the Supreme Court of the United States and has more than 400 reported appellate decisions to her credit.
Highly regarded by her peers, Ms. Greene is listed in Best Lawyers in America* and has received an AV-Preeminent** rating from Martindale-Hubble as well as an "Excellent" rating from Avvo, the online legal directory and forum. She has also shared her knowledge with her peers through her authorship of articles relating to development in her field of practice that have appeared in the Nova Law Review, The Florida Bar Journal and the Journal of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers.
Ms. Greene presently serves as the Chair of the Amicus Committee of the Family Law Section of the Florida Bar, a position she has held since 2010. In that capacity, she has overseen and participated in the writing of Amicus Curiae briefs submitted in several of the most legally significant family law cases addressed by Florida's appellate courts in the past several years including, but not limited to, Florida Department of Children and Families v In Re: Matter of Adoption of X.X.G and N.R.G., 45 So.3d 79 (Fla. 3d DCA 2010); Shaw v Shaw, Second District Court of Appeal and State of Florida v. Pareto & State of Florida v Huntsman (consolidated), Third District Court of Appeal (both presently pending).
